Cat5 is a blessing. Since our last hurricane experience  we were  in need of getting real protection. My styrofoam, bungee cords, and ratchet tie set up wasn’t going to keep us safe. Cat 5 came to our rescue. Wayne, Rosalie,  & crew are our heroes ❤️ Everything was explained - they answered all our questions and more.and were affordable. They showed us the easiest get ready method with their hurricane curtains.  Easy prep and no storing a huge amount of metal pieces. We now feel protected. CAT5 hurricane installation recently completed custom motorized hurricane screens on my 2 lanai openings. They did an exceptional job. I selected CAT5 after getting 3 bids. CAT5 was significantly lower in price but provided equal or better quality. However, the deciding factor was the fact that I was dealing direct with the owner Wayne Bennet during the design and bid process and he personally oversaw the installation process. Best price and best service. Wayne came to my house to give me a no nonsense quote. He's a straight shooter and knows what he's doing. He bent over backwards to deliver custom-cut clear panels for my arched windows, as well as Miami-Dade HVHZ accordion shutters everywhere else. Jeff and the the rest of the crew showed up when they said they would and did not leave until the job was done. Every one of them had a great attitude while working in the heat of the summer, and even had fun interactions with my toddler. I have had quite few "shutter" people out to give me estimates. These were some of my criterion: 1.Quality 2. As easy as possible to install (eg: weight) 3. No moving parts that could become stuck, broken or inoperable with or without power. 4. No place for critters to hide and die (eg: lizards, frogs, wasps) 5. Easy to store 6. Aesthetics/how it blends with the structure 7. Price A Big extra; you can see through them. They were just installed so I can't say how they will actually perform in a hurricane, but so far so good. UPDATED!  Just in time for hurricane season! Before you make your decision; go to Cat5. The best service and these screens look great and cut the wind like nothing I've ever seen. During Helene, I was on my lanai straightening out the plants and STUFF that I had dragged off the pool deck and didn't realize how well these screens worked as I foolishly went to empty the trash on the side of the house. It was scary yet my lanai was safe, despite all that wind. Rosalie and Wayne deliver more than they promise. Their staff is professional and neat. These guys are the real deal. We had Cat5 install 3 separate motorized hurricane impact screens on our lanai and they did a fantastic job from beginning to end. The professionalism from the owner to all of his installation staff was beyond anything that you find in most of today's businesses. There was an absolute attention to detail, protection of our property, and a commitment to excellence throughout to install process all concluding with the owner confirming our satisfaction at the completion of the job. We did a lot of research on these screens and the other companies were quoting EXTREMELY higher prices to protect our home from damage. This hurricane impact screen was purchased to protect our house from storms that we hope to never have, but the daily use of toning down the sun's impact on our porch is a gift that keeps on giving and will pay-off in energy savings. Do yourself a financial favor if you are considering this concept;  get quotes from the others but prior to picking a company, call Wayne!
